Debra Murphy, PCA

Meet Debra Murphy, PCA Caregiver in the Independence region!

My mother was a nurse, I get the caring side from her. I feel I am a natural born caregiver; I love helping people.

Before I left out of state and worked for a different home health care company, followed Phil because she thought very highly of him. When I moved back I applied with Phoenix because of him. I truly love this company and it is very family oriented.

You really have to have true compassion for mankind, if you don’t have that within you then you’re not going to be happy in this field. That way you can truly look forward to helping your clients every day! If you take the opportunity; treat the clients like family.

What does the X Factor mean to you?

(The X Factor is the personal and professional abilities of our nurses to use their experience, orientation to serve, skill set, optimism, passion & honesty to bring the very best care to our clients and their families.)-“That is what I try to do everyday! I think that is part of the reason why I am apart of the best Home Care company three years in a row. Always being there even on the rough days, and treat people the way you want to be treated. I truly love my client and see her as family.
