Meet Janessa H., a Physical Therapist from our Springfield, MO region!
We asked her, “What gives you the passion to do what you do?” She said, “I have always felt the desire to help people. It brings me a lot of joy and pride to make even just a small, positive and helpful impact on someone. I also want my young boys to see and feel the happiness that helping others can bring.”
When we asked, “Why Home Care & Why Phoenix?” she told us, “I transitioned from outpatient to home health to allow for a more flexible schedule after I had my first child. I truly enjoy the uniqueness of every person I see, and to be able to help them in the comfort of their own home is special. I feel blessed Phoenix chose me to become a part of their team a few years ago. There is an emphasis on teamwork and appreciation, and I am thankful to be a part of it.”
We asked, “What would you like to tell others contemplating working at Phoenix Home Care & Hospice?” Her response was, “Phoenix is a great place to work. There are many opportunities for professional and personal growth. There is a level of expectation and accountability which makes it a strong team.”
Of our X Factor (an important element of our unique Phoenix values), Janessa says, “It means being the best version of myself in order to serve others. I know when I am true to myself, that’s when I can best help others, whether showing empathy during difficult times, optimism and encouragement during hopeful times, or firm conversations when necessary.”
Her team really shines a light on her: “Janessa has been an amazing team player since joining Phoenix. She is loved by patients and clinicians alike, always doing her part to contribute without fail. If a job needs done, Janessa will find a way to do it, even asking if anyone else is needing help. Janessa puts others first. She is kind, compassionate, considerate, and courteous day-in and day-out. Please spotlight Janessa, someone who would never spotlight herself!”
Outside of work, Janessa tells us, “My husband, Logan, and I have been married for nearly 14 years and we have 2 boys, Luke (9) and Zack (7). We enjoy all things sports, especially watching our boys play baseball and basketball. We love spending time outside during this time of year, fishing, swimming, and playing intense games of wiffle ball.”
Janessa, your team said it best. Thank you for being a great team player, and always putting our clients and others first! We’re blessed to have you on team Phoenix!
