Meet Madison Appleberry COTA! Madison has been an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the Central Missouri region since July of 2020!
“The reason I started my career as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is because I love to be the difference in somebody’s recovery as well as in their life. Believe it or not you get pretty attached to you patients in just a few short weeks & learn so much about their life on a physical level as well as personal. Being the reason somebody is able to get back to doing what they love or even just getting them out of bed in the morning is what drives me to do the things I do.”
“As a new graduate, Phoenix gave me the opportunity to pursue my career and learn SO much these past 6 months. To be honest I never truly saw myself in the home health field but it has opened my horizons and made me appreciate therapy that much more. I was very apprehensive working independently because I still needed help along the way but my coworkers are AMAZING and very supportive! Being able to help someone get their life back while in their own household makes it so much more meaningful & purposeful. Walking through their front door & being the reason they smile that day is what makes OT worth it! Phoenix has allowed me to grow, learn, communicate & become a better COTA every single day.”
“I enjoy spending time with friends and family outside of work. My family has been my biggest support system and have helped me get to where I am today. This past year has put life in a whole new perspective and makes me extra grateful for the things I have in life. I enjoy socializing, meeting new people & having fun while doing it!”
