Our field staff are the face of our company, regularly engaging with clients and the public. However, we also want to highlight our incredible Leadership team, who work diligently behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly in our offices. Introducing Judi Holden, the Hospice Director of Nursing at our Overland Park, KS office! She has dedicated 2 years to our Phoenix Team so far.

We asked, “How does your role help support our clients/employees?“

Judi: “As the director, I hold the responsibility of providing great support to our team. Then, in turn, we are able to provide the quality care that every patient deserves. Being able to go into the field and work with our team side-by-side has been an amazing experience.”

Have you taken any culture classes? Which one did you like best? (Culture classes are available to Phoenix employees and serve to enrich career and personal growth for our teams.)

J: “Yes, the Taking Flight class and Winning Work Habits was my favorite!”

Give us one piece of career advice.

J: “Be a team player. Everyone has a story, and we have no idea what that story may be. Be kind and always be ready to help your team.”

Who has been an important coworker/mentor in your career, and what did you learn from them?

J: “Oh my goodness! I actually have several! Beth Valldeperas has been my ride or die! Through thick and thin we never give up! Our saying is, “Somehow God always makes everything ok!” When you think there is no way, he makes a way! Jessica and Debbie… what amazing leaders! Always willing to listen and help find solutions!”

What is your favorite memory at Phoenix so far?

J:  “Winning the RAFE award!!!!!”

J: “Be strong, never give up and always do what you love!”

What is one thing you can’t work without?

J: “My team!”

What are two things on your bucket list?

J: “Going to see the beach!”

Tell us a little about you.

J: “For those of you who know me, work is my life. However, I do love spending time with my family. My mother and I are very close! So, on my off time, I am spending time with my mom, my boyfriend John, and all of our children and grandchildren. Together we have 5 girls, 2 boys, 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. Sundays are for church and family dinners.”
