Nicole Johnson, OTR/L

Meet Nicole Johnson, OTR/L in the Central Missouri region! Nicole has been with Phoenix for 3 years.

“As an Occupational Therapist, my patients are coming to me for help, often at one of the lowest points in their life. Using my skills as an OT, I have the opportunity and ability to help give someone their life back, or at least make it better. I love building relationships with patients and when I discharge them from therapy it is often bittersweet. Recovery can be a rocky road, but as an occupational therapist, the connections I make with my patients are strong, and being a significant player in an individual’s recovery journey is truly an honor. Knowing I’m making a difference in a person’s life gives me the passion to do what I do, knowing that both the patient and I will be forever grateful for that experience.”

“I appreciate Phoenix’s mission statement: to offer new beginnings and meaningful opportunities to caregivers and clinicians while providing home care services to our clients built on innovation, skill, and Christ-like values of patience, honesty, and compassion–because I value compassion, honesty, and patience in my own life, so it’s refreshing to know I work for a company that shares those values.”

“Phoenix Home Care gives you the freedom and independence to do what you love while giving their support and appreciation for your hard work and dedication. If you like to work independently, but like knowing that your team is right there with you sharing your mission, then you will appreciate working with our team at Phoenix.”

“Outside of work, my life revolves around my family–my husband of 16 years, my 14-year-old daughter, and my 12-year-old son. We love the outdoors–hiking, kayaking, and camping are some of our favorites. I also enjoy gardening, reading, crafting, and doing home projects.”
