This Mondays Spotlight comes from Home Health in Independence.
Please join me in congratulating Amy Fellers, RN.
Amy has been doing Home Health for 19 years and has been a Phoenix member since 6/2015.
She is passionate about Home Health and the patients she is privileged to serve. She truly enjoys the patients and wants to see them get better and do what she can for them while they are on services.
“I’ve known Amy to take out the trash, feed the dogs, give a bath and continuously go above and beyond for her patients!” said The Director of Nursing for Home Health, Tami Murdock RN, BSN.
Amy chose the field of home care because there is a lot of autonomy, you get to know your patients and thus it is a more personable experience, and you get to use your “nurse” brain vs the “doctors” brains. Many doctors rely on the home health nurse to tell them what is needed and what might work best for the patient, in their own home.
Amy said, “Phoenix is the place to work because it’s a nice, comfortable environment and I truly feel that I play an important role in the team.” Amy said she knows she will always be surrounded by a supportive team with reliability and proven skill sets.
