Meet Rhonda, a Licensed Practical Nurse from our Wichita, KS region!
We asked her, “What gives you the passion to do what you do?” She said, “When I can make someone feel good about themselves. I love to make treatments and things a game, so that the kids I work with feel like its fun to do instead of work. I like to see that I make a difference in their lives. I show them compassion and let them express their own feelings. They need to know that their opinion matters also.”
When we asked, “Why Home Care & Why Phoenix?” she told us, “I truly felt Phoenix was right for me because they are faith based. I literally had been praying for the perfect fit for me and I found it here, at Phoenix.”
We asked, “What would you like to tell others contemplating working at Phoenix Home Care & Hospice?” Her response was, “Phoenix is an awesome place to work. They will find you the right family to work with, even if it takes a while. The staff listens to your input and they truly care for their employees!”
She also goes on to say, “I love it that us nurses are not micro-managed. We can care for our patients how their parents want to the best of our ability. Also, if there are problems in the home, our team is there for you and will help you in any situation!”
Her team has nothing but great things to say : “The client’s family loves Rhonda! She is very responsive and always dependable.”
Outside of work, Rhonda tells us, “I love to do yard work. I have tons of plants I tend to. I also like riding my motorcycle. We do at least 4 toy runs a year to help kids. We also like to get together with others on the weekend and ride to dinner somewhere in other towns. Anything outdoors, I love!”
