Meet Jeffrey H., a Registered Nurse, from our Jefferson City, MO region!
We asked Jeffrey, What gives you the passion to do what you do?
J: “I started my journey in health care in 2018 after my daughter with special needs was born. I earned my BSN to acquire the necessary skill set to be able to care for her the best I could.”
Why Home Care & Phoenix?
J: “After graduating with my BSN, I worked in Emergency Medicine as an RN for 5 years. I was looking to explore other avenues in nursing when a coworker that I had previously worked with switched to Phoenix and let me know about the culture and values that Phoenix had. This led me to explore the opportunities Phoenix had to offer and I decided to become a part of this organization for this reason. An organization that openly embraces the values of Christianity is becoming a rarity and it is a privilege to assist in furthering these aspirations.”
What would you tell others contemplating working at Phoenix Home Care and Hospice?
J: “This relates back to the same reason I joined this organization in the first place: culture and mission. There is no higher purpose than to be able to help others and while doing so being able to share your faith in Jesus Christ and the hope and salvation He offers through accepting and following Him as Christ and Savior.”
What does the X Factor mean to you? (the X Factor is the personal and professional abilities of our staff to use their experience, orientation to serve, skill set, optimism, passion & honesty to bring the best care to our clients and their families.)
J: “Every nurse is different as they are molded by their past experiences. The willingness to help others coupled with a foundation in faith (Christianity) is a purpose that is surpassed by no other.”
Tell us a little about yourself.
J: “The most important thing to me is family and instilling the core values needed to live in accordance with what Christ has taught. The majority of what I do outside of work is doing anything that strengthens the cohesion and moral foundation of my family. Beig outside and admiring nature (creation) is definitely at the top of my list.”
