Meet Michelle, a Caregiver from our Joplin, MO region!
We asked her, “What gives you the passion to do what you do?” She said, “As a Christian woman it’s what I’m called to do… I’ve always been a caring person so I never had to think twice!”
When we asked, “Why Home Care & Why Phoenix?” she told us, “After taking care of my father full-time at home I wish I could of had a company like Phoenix to help me out. I understand that the day to day needs can take a toll on family, and I prayed one night when I was working for a different company, ‘Please 🙏 place me where I can serve you better (God)!’ And I looked up caregiver and Phoenix stood out to me. On top of that, everyone in the office from front desk to scheduling are awesome!”
We asked, “What would you like to tell others contemplating working at Phoenix Home Care & Hospice?” Her response was, “I believe in this company so much that I referred a family member, and I feel truly blessed to be working for Phoenix.”
Of our X Factor (an important element of our unique Phoenix values), Michelle says, “For me personally, I look at each of my clients as if they are my parents, and give them the best care possible because that’s what I would have wanted for my Dad. It’s about building trust in a spouse of a hospice client so that they can leave their home for a few hours!”
Outside of work, Michelle tells us, “I work for a great company that makes me feel like I have a purpose when I wake up and fall asleep at night. On Sundays I go to Hope City Church and spend the day with family, then back to work on Monday. 😊”
