Meet Shirley P., a Certified Nursing Assistant from our Springfield, MO region!
We asked her, “What gives you the passion to do what you do?” She said, “I love to serve and help others in need. I always have. The reward of seeing them live their best life matters to me.”
When we asked, “Why Home Care & Why Phoenix?” she told us, “I worked at Oxford for 14 years, then Cox took over and I didn’t feel the same care and love once it changed. So I applied at Phoenix just for a change. In truth, this company makes me feel like I matter. And the staff are so kind. God blessed me by allowing me to be a caregiver for Phoenix.”
We asked, “What would you like to tell others contemplating working at Phoenix Home Care & Hospice?” Her response was, “I wasn’t expecting to love Phoenix as much as I do. They surprised me, to be honest. They make sure you know they care for you and their clients. Phoenix treat all clients with dignity, respect, and integrity. An undeniable love for serving as many clients as they are able to.”
Outside of work, Shirley tells us, “I enjoy music, animals, traveling, cleaning (yes cleaning–I love it, especially organizing), shopping, reading God’s love letter, spending quality time with my children, and my family. I love to love and help. My whole life God has had a purpose for me and this is it. Caring for others and I am grateful to him.”
Shirley brings an impressive twenty-seven years of home care experience to the table, and has been with Phoenix for three years. We feel so lucky to have her!
