Meet Vicki N., a Personal Care Attendant from our Springfield, MO region and our latest Caregiver of the Month from this location!🙌

We asked her, “What gives you the passion to do what you do?” she said, “I love what I do! You have to care and have the passion to do this kind of work. The smiles that you get when you show up day after day, or week after week… they smile when they see you, or when you do something special for them. That’s what drives me to do this job. I know it’s going to be me there one day, and I hope there will be a kind caregiver to help and care about me like I care for my client.❤️”

When we asked, “Why Home Care & Why Phoenix?” she told us, “I chose home care because it’s so personal, you get to know so many different people! I chose Phoenix because it was a well known company and I thought I’d give it a try.”

We asked Vicki what she would tell others contemplating working at Phoenix Home Care and Hospice and she said, “You have to have compassion and be very caring to do this job. There are days that aren’t always pleasant, but you just smile, go on, and hope it will be a better day for them tomorrow.”

Of our X Factor (an important element of our unique Phoenix values), Vicki says, “To have the passion to care for the clients that I have, and give them the best care that I know how.”

Outside of work, Vicki goes on to tell us a little more about herself. “I like to shop at the flea markets, crafting, and going for walks.”
