Ysenya S., PCA

Meet Ysenya S., a Personal Care Attendant from our Wichita region!

We asked Ysenya, What gives you the passion to do what you do?

Y: “My clients that I see daily always show appreciation for what I do for them. Seeing them smile and knowing they have an easier day while I take care of them is the passion I’ve always looked for in a career.”

Why Home Care & Phoenix?

Y: “Home care is so much more personal and makes me feel like I’m part of their family, and Phoenix has always been such a great company to be a part of! The teamwork is spectacular, knowing that I have supervisors and other caregivers that actually care and have my back is something I would never take for granted.”

What would you tell others contemplating working at Phoenix Home Care and Hospice?

Y: “Home care and hospice is a big responsibility. We are providing care for a stranger’s loved one and we have to make sure we are patient, warm and helpful. The type of feeling you get when you get to leave someone and know that they are well taken care of is something you cannot explain but feel. It’s a blessing, so I highly recommend Phoenix because the office team will personally set you up with clients who work around YOUR schedule and the area you would like to stay in. I’ve never worked with a company that was able to accommodate my personal schedule and give me the hours I desire. It truly is a blessing.”

What does the X Factor mean to you? (the X Factor is the personal and professional abilities of our staff to use their experience, orientation to serve, skill set, optimism, passion & honesty to bring the best care to our clients and their families.)

Y: “The X-Factor means being able to treat our clients as if it were our own family member.”

Tell us a little about yourself.

Y: “I enjoy exploring the world with my husband; we have a trip to Japan coming up soon that we are ecstatic about! We love trying different restaurants and having cookouts with our friends and family. But my most favorite thing in the world is plopping on my couch in front of my TV and watching scary movies all day with a bag of chips in hand!”
