Phoenix Home Care Inc. was presented with the 2015 Fast Track Award by the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the annual meeting and awards banquet in Kansas City on November 19th.
Phoenix was started in 2011 by Phil and Kim Melugin and just under 30 staff members. Since opening the doors, they have soared in to 14 offices in three state states, and has over 2,000 employees.
Phoenix provides a variety of home care services, from specialized care for the elderly and the acutely ill, to nursing and caregiver services for children and young adults with specialized health care needs. Services include simple housekeeping and daily errands to skilled nursing, occupational, speech, and physical therapy as well as companion and respite care. Currently the Wichita office provides Hospice care, however, three other offices in the Phoenix name will soon be adopting Hospice services as well. This will expand the services and allow for a full continuum of care for Phoenix clients. The plans for Hospice include the Springfield and Independence, MO offices and Overland Park, KS.
