Linda, RN

Today, we’d like to spotlight Linda, RN from Independence! Linda joined Phoenix 2 years ago bringing a wealth of experience from her years in the medical field.

When asked why she chose Phoenix, Linda shared, “I retired from full time hospital work, plus mandatory on call time (surgery). I wanted to work some, to stay involved and keep my skills current. I found Phoenix, and was drawn to the Christian Ethic that the company is founded on, as well as the people I met who worked for Phoenix. I prayed about finding a part time job, and I know the good Lord honored that prayer through Phoenix! love home care because I consider it an honor to serve my patients in their homes, meet their pets, and get to know them well. I absolutely love my patients.”

Linda, we are also glad you found us! One of Phoenix’s 8 Principles of Flight is to Celebrate Outcomes. One way we do this for our field staff is through pop up events. We asked Linda about her experiences and she replied, “It seems as though there is always something fun going on at the office; thank you Thursdays, grilled hot dogs in the summer, Christmas potluck in the winter. Phoenix makes it clear that they value their employees, and I enjoy that so much.”

When asked what she’d say to those considering joining Phoenix, Linda exclaimed, “I HAVE told peers that it is a great place to work, and I love that the (sometimes overwhelming) stress of the hospital setting, is absent. I believe this is the best-kept secret in Nursing! The administration is so supportive, responsive, caring, and knowledgeable. This is much like neighbors helping neighbors, with the focus on the Patient’s thriving, in their own home.”

Outside of work, Linda prioritizes spending time with her kids and grandkids often. She also makes time to serve in her Church’s nursery, attend book club, and cook for her loved ones.

Linda, thank you for making such a positive impact on both your coworkers and clients!
