At Phoenix Home Care and Hospice, we take immense pride in showcasing the incredible individuals who drive our mission forward. Today, we’re excited to introduce you to Carissa Jordan, a compassionate and dedicated member of our Joplin team!
We asked Carissa, “What gives you the passion to do what you do?”
She shared, “I love being a pillar of support for our patients and their families. Helping others has always been my calling. Knowing that I can make a difference in the lives of these families is what drives me to continue my journey in Social Work. As a hospice Social Worker, my goal is to ensure that my patients and their families can cherish precious moments together without worrying about anything else.”
When asked what advice she would offer to those considering working at Phoenix Home Care and Hospice, she said, “Just do it. Phoenix is unlike any other company I have worked for. You feel appreciated every day, and you are guaranteed to be taken care of. Phoenix has become part of my family.”
When not at work, Carissa enjoys raising chickens and tending to their two Australian Shepherds. She is also actively involved with the Medical Loan Closet of Joplin, a nonprofit organization that provides used medical equipment to those in need at no cost. Family time is a top priority in their life.
