Shelly Harris

Spotlight on Shelly Harris, PDN Field Supervisor from Springfield, MO

This past weekend, Shelly saved a life. She showed up to a clients home just in time. Using the skills she has acquired as a Phoenix Nurse and during school, she was able to assess the situation and quickly respond. She is definitely a blessing to our clients and all of Team Phoenix.

Shelly started with Phoenix because of the flexible scheduling. She was in the process of getting her final classes to go into the RN program. She worked PRN in the field between classes and clinicals. She said, “both Nancy and Jessy were wonderful working with me and my crazy schedule.” After an interim position coordinating in the office during Jessy’s maternity leave, Shelly was offered a position as the PDN Field Supervisor.

She says the most rewarding part of her job is the days she is out in the field visiting both nurses and clients. “It is so wonderful to see the progress the children are making with our fabulous nurses.”

Shelly says the X-Factor makes her strive for excellence and holds herself at a higher standard.

She wants everyone to know that, ” Phoenix is about the art of caring, not just getting the task complete as you would at the hospital or SNF. You always have the time to give the best care possible!”

Phoenix is blessed to have Shelly on the team! Thank you for all you do! You are definitely soaring!
